Myounghee Kang from the Echoview team attended the following two conferences on 17-23 Nov 2011 in Qingdao, China.
1) The fifth annual meeting of the Asian fisheries acoustics society, AFAS2011.
- Theme: The international conference on underwater acoustics for sustainable fisheries in Asia. The application of acoustic science and technology for low-carbon fishery.
- Date: 17-18 Nov 2011.
- Venue: Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, China.

The annual meeting of the Asian fisheries acoustics society, AFAS2012 will be held in Busan, South Korea.
2) The 3rd annual meeting of Chinese fisheries acoustics.
- Date: 19 Nov 2011.
- Venue: Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, China.
The meeting was for Chinese acousticians to make a plan for next year and to discuss how to cooperate. There will be a fresh-water fisheries acoustic conference in Wuhan around Sep of 2012. It will be the first time for the conference to host all scientists working with fresh-water fisheries acoustics. An Echoview team will be there and the Echoview team can arrange an Echoview training during before or after the conference.
