Echoview training course reports: Sicily (Apr 2011) and Ancona (May 2011)

Toby Jarvis recently ran two Echoview training/workshop sessions in Italy; a 3-day course at IAMC-CNR in Capo Granitola, Sicily and a 2-day course at ISMAR-CNR in Ancona on the Adriatic coast.
These sessions were run in close accordance with the needs of the users. We worked closely with their data to explore and implement their specific data-processing requirements in Echoview. We enjoyed many discussions and question/answer sessions about approaches to data processing and how to actually implement these in software.
The end result was a draft Echoview template which will form the foundation of their ongoing acoustics research.
