"I just thought I would let you know that we have been using the EchoIMPACT Export module to export data from Echoview to Quester Tangent's 'Impact' program. So far this seems to be pretty straight forward and bullet-proof. Going from the EK60 to Echoview for data cleanup and then to QT's Impact seems to be a very efficient way to process the data. Good job!"

"The new version looks great. My compliments to the new layout of the Variables & Geometry window and the improvements we suggested in March/April."

"From what you have shown me, the changes to the Formula operator will be very (very) useful to us in our work…. I’m a big fan of the Formula operator as it allows the flexibility to do unanticipated things – the limitation of a single variable was major and it sounds like this will be a real advance."

"I have been experimenting with EV 4.30. I must say that the new 3 color operator is really fascinating. It seems to work without a hitch."

"I enjoyed the relatively fast speed and robustness of the new version. Good job."

"Have just returned from another successful survey (6th since starting to use Echoview)."

"We're very happy with Echoview. We have used the EchoIMPACT Export module extensively and it seems to work flawlessly. Thanks for the good product."

"Initial positives I see with the new version involve a seemingly higher processing rate and better zooming / screen manipulation aspects. Both positive additions. I'm sure that there are more improvements to comment on, but I know that I haven't experienced everything yet."

"Glad to hear that you have tracked down most of the bugs, although I should reiterate just how impressed I was with the software even in that beta state. You have done a fine job in developing such a great tool."

"Have just taken a peek at the new version of Echoview, v4 beta. The look and feel is very nice, and it looks like the transition to a more modern interface has been well balanced with retaining a familiarity with the previous version."

"I really like the new interface of the beta version. More information is displayed and it seems more user friendly as well."

"…the new interface seems to look and work quite nicely. All the familiar items from the previous version work as expected, and new items are quite intuitive. I especially like the details display. It will be nice to be able to access that information in one window instead of checking numerous locations."

"I have no difficulties at all with downloading and installing the files at this time. I've enjoyed the beta version for some hours. So far, it works well. The new user interface is very cool, and the new Windows tabs Toolbar and Details window are very useful. Thanks to your development team!"

"So far we didn't encounter any bug in the beta version of 4.10. Maybe we should try harder, or maybe you released a very well-developed version of the program. We almost jumped from 3.0 to 4.10 so we have found plenty of improvements. It is possible that many of those are not new for 4.10 ... one function that called my attention was the Sv threshold graph now available in 4.10. For years (more than twenty) we have been doing this job manually (iteratively) to find the "right" cut off value for thresholding plankton echoes and noise on fish aggregations echograms. Now life is more easy with the graph. Thank you for that."

"Excellent work on the 4.1 beta additions. I'm looking forward to exercising them."

"I have had a chance to look things over and am very impressed with the new features. The loop function sure is a nice feature. Additionally, the multifrequency echograms (3-color) are pretty fancy as well."

"The added ability to swap fields that you have implemented allows easy viewing of simultaneous multiple echograms. This has saved much time in viewing echograms from DIDSON data."

"Firstly, I should say well done on version 4.3. As usual there are many worthwhile improvements and I can see that our maintenance money has been put to good use. Zooming and multiple selection of virtual variables is a nice improvement. Also the performance enhancements were noticeable when loading raw files for the first time."

"As to the science of the whole thing, the near bottom vertical profiles look a little different using this method, so it was a worthwhile investment. Besides, I learned quite a bit about scripting, and I’m sure that will prove useful. I think we will be making a lot more use of scripts in our future data analysis protocols."

"Thanks for the updates. It’s nice to have the MS20 file extension problem fixed; saves having to rename the 050 and 100 extensions as I have been doing now. The multibeam tape measure and the vertical line that highlights the MS20 ping on the single beam echograms are also nice additions… I like the new streamlined “Region Browser” window."

"You've all obviously been working hard - the new features in Echoview 4.40 look great, especially the Formula operator!"
