3D sonar module
The 3D Sonar module allows the volumetric (3D) reconstruction of fish schools or other objects scanned by a mobile multibeam sonar. The module offers an optimum solution for 3D mapping of fish schools using a vertically-mounted multibeam sonar.
The 3D Sonar module is part of Echoview's family of Sonar modules that offer a to suit data from imaging, multibeam and scanning sonars.
When this module is licensed but other modules are not licensed, restricted and/or time limited Echoview features from other modules are available under demonstation mode.
Please contact sales@echoview.com for information about this module's pricing and prerequisites.
Note: The 3D Sonar module replaces the Multibeam module only in name and allows all previous functionality of that module for multibeam sonar data.
Features
- All features of the 2D sonar module and the Stationary sonar module.
-
-
- Read and display any supported multibeam data files as a multibeam echogram with DVD-like replay controls.
-
- Detect three-dimensional bottom surfaces.
- These can be converted to 3D objects and can be displayed in the 4D scene environment.
-
- Detect 2D objects within individual pings - outlines of fish or slices through schools.
- These can be converted to 3D objects and can be displayed in the 4D scene environment.
-
- Detect 3D region tracks and display in scenes.
- Track 3D objects for a four-dimensional understanding of the shape and movement of fish or fish schools.
-
- Morphometric analysis of 3D objects for size and shape information.
-
- Integration analysis of data contained by detected 3D objects.
-
- An expanded set of multibeam specific operators for pre-processing the data.
-
- Export multibeam data as ASCII files, process in external applications, and then re-added to Echoview for display and analysis if desired.
-
- Detect schools in data from stationary and mobile platforms - combines data from multiple pings to form a 3D object shell (including vacuoles).
- These can be converted to 3D objects and can be displayed in the 4D scene environment.
