Before installing Echoview ensure that your system complies with the requirements summarized below.

HASP	Hardware Against Software Piracy A software protection system using a hardware key, sometimes called a dongle. Echoview supplies HASP keys with licenses. Note: Without a HASP key, Echoview will operate in* demonstration mode. Demonstration mode provides access to most features in Echoview products for the purpose of product evaluation.*
RAID	Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks A system of securing data against loss due to hardware failure which comes rated in levels 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ...

Notes:

A faster processor will usually result in improved performance for tasks such as echo integration that are calculation-intensive. The Echoview code does not contain any optimizations that are specific to a given make or model of processor. However, the multi-threaded data reading feature and operators will run optimally under a multi-core processor. This should be considered when making decisions about processing hardware.
Processor technology changes at a rapid rate, please check processor benchmarks as well as clock speed ratings before you make hardware purchasing decisions. If at all possible, test Echoview itself on candidate platforms.
Pentium M processors are also supported by Echoview.
More memory will result in improved performance, particularly when working with large data sets. Refer to Echoview and Windows memory management.
Echoview WebHelp requires the installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. Version 6 or higher is is recommended. It is possible to view Webhelp with other browsers, however some HTML feaures may not render as intended. The Help file - Echoview.chm will generally display symbols correctly.
The Echoreport utility requires the installation of Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 or higher. See About .Net Framework for further information.
Echolog 500/60/SM minimum requirements: Windows XP, CPU at least PIII, 1 GB RAM and Ethernet interface RAID 1 or higher. A 10Mbit/s network interface is required (100MBit/s recommended) for many tasks (for example logging with Echolog 500).
The latest OpenGL driver for your video card is strongly recommended for users of 3D visualization or fish tracking.
Laptop integrated graphics can result in poor user interface performance.
A color printer is very useful for echogram printing.
If you have trouble using Echoview on your system, and you have installed the operating system patches, contact Echoview for assistance. Some components of your operating system, required to run Echoview, may not have been installed.

Note: Microsoft has ceased support of MS-DOS, Windows 3.xx, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5x, Windows NT 4.xx, Windows 98 and Windows ME. Consult Microsoft's life cycle policies for more information. Myriax does not support Echoview on operating systems no longer supported by Microsoft.
