The Filesets window (F10) is used to manage filesets and related raw variables and data files.
To display the Filesets window:

Each fileset that has been created within an EV file is displayed on a separate page in the Filesets window.
To display a fileset, click the appropriate tab.
Each fileset is made up of the following sections:
the Data files section, and
The Data files section of the Filesets window displays the data files that have been added to the selected fileset. The data files are listed with the following properties:
|
Column |
Description |
|
Name |
The name of the data file. Note: Unicode data file names are not supported in Echoview. |
|
Folder |
The folder in which Echoview expects to find the data file. UNC names are valid. If the Ignore data-file paths option is selected on the EV File page of the EV File Properties dialog box then this folder is ignored and the folder in which the EV file is found is used instead. |
|
Start date/time |
The date and time of the first ping in the data file. Note: Set to "not yet determined" until you display an echogram of a variable derived from the data file, display information about the data file, or create a virtual variable that references the data file. |
|
End date/time |
The date and time of the last ping in the data file. Note: Set to "not yet determined" until you display an echogram of a variable derived from the data file, display information about the data file, or create a virtual variable that references the data file. |
Click Add to add a new data file.
ClickRemove to remove the selected data file(s) from the fileset.
ClickInformation to open the Data File Information dialog box.
The Raw variables section of the Filesets window displays the raw variables that Echoview has derived from the data file(s) in the Data Files section. Each variable is assigned a unique name to identify it meaningfully in Echoview (important in the use of templates). The number of measurements (pings, GPS fixes, vessel log points, etc. as appropriate to the variable class) is displayed after the variable name.
The checkbox that is displayed to the left of the variable name is used to make a variable available in Echoview. If it is not checked, the variable is unavailable. An unavailable variable will not appear on any other menu or in any other context in Echoview except via the Show In View dialog box on the Variables and Geometry window.
ClickProperties to open the Variable Properties dialog box for the selected variable.
ClickEchogram to display an echogram of the selected acoustic variable.
Click Cruise Track to display:
the cruise track for a selected position GPS fixes variable
the along-track display for a selected Sv raw variable.
Click Graph to display a heading graph for a selected heading variable.
Click Table to display a table for a selcted position, attitude or distance variable.
Note: Another way to see and access your raw variables (their properties and echograms) is to use the Variables & Geometry window.
