 Echoview Workshops - Bergen 2008

We are pleased to announce that we are holding a series of training workshops, which will be held in conjunction with the SEAFACTS conference in Bergen. 5 separate, concurrent full day workshops will cater for all participants covering both the fundamental and advanced aspects of Echoview, with specific topics covered for more advanced users.

Day 1: Echoview Advanced 1 - Multiple frequency analysis and scripting (Full day)
  • Case study
  • Review of established methods
  • Review of new virtual variable and virtual line enhancements for multi-frequency work
  • Exploration of virtual variable data flow performance enhancement
  • Exploration of workflow-related performance enhancement
  • Introduction to scripting and automation
  • Questions and discussion

Day 2: Echoview Fundamentals 2 (Full day)
  • Integration analysis – Working with regions
  • Integration analysis - Biomass

  • Single targets – Detection algorithms and tracking

Day 2: Echoview Advanced 2 - Fish detection, tracking and counting for DIDSON and scanning sonar (Full day)

Day 3: Virtual Variables - Advanced applications of virtual variables (Full day)

  • Recent enhancements to the Variables and Geometry window
  • Demonstrations of three or more of the following:
    • Estimating Biomass in the Deadzone
    • Correcting Depths for a Towed Body
    • Classifying Data Using a dB Difference Technique
    • Removing Missing Pings
    • Filling Missing Pings
    • Removing Pings With No Single Targets from Sv Variable
    • Calculating Calibration Constants in Echoview
    • Other relevant examples
